Product Introduction:
The E680 series three-layer Ethernet switch (hereinafter referred to as "E680") is a high-performance and high-density 10GE/25GE/40GE/100GE switch built on the Ethernet switching chip CTC8180, designed to meet the needs of various application scenarios such as next-generation enterprise networks, data centers, metropolitan area networks, and hyper converged networks.
The E680 is equipped with CentecOS system software, which supports mainstream protocol standards and applications, making it easy and fast to deploy and manage.
The E680 currently offers the following configuration models: E680-32C; E680-48Y8C;E680-48X8C;E680-24Y4C;E680-48X6Q;E680-24Q。

Smart Ethernet OAM: Complete Fault Management and Performance Assurance
End to end OAM based on IEEE802.1ag and ITU-T Y.1731 protocols enables Ethernet service providers to actively monitor their business, measure end-to-end performance, and ensure that customers receive services that meet the contracted SLA level.
Fault management includes CCM/LTM/LBM, and performance measurement includes measuring frame delay and changes in frame delay.
The E680 series switches support EFM based on the 802.3ah standard, including end-to-end discovery, link monitoring, fault notification, remote loopback, MIB parameter feedback, and other functions.
 
DCB characteristics of data center
• Support cutting-edge data center features such as Priority Based Flow Control (PFC), Explicit Congestion Notification (ECN), TCP for data centers, etc.
Support MLAG (Multi Chassis Link Aggregation) to achieve cross device link aggregation. By aggregating the interfaces on two aggregation switches, the link reliability is improved from the board level to the device level, forming an Active Active system Connect two aggregation switches through a Peer link link in between, making them logically like one device. The ports on two devices together form an aggregated port, allowing all ports to participate in the forwarding of data traffic. Compared with stacking, the devices that make up MLAG still need to be managed separately, but MLAG configuration is relatively simple, and there is no need to restart after configuration is completed. At the same time, forwarding decisions are made locally. Under normal circumstances, traffic does not need to be forwarded through inter device interconnection paths, avoiding the bottleneck of interconnection path bandwidth and reducing latency.
• Support Overlay technology (including tunneling technologies such as VXLAN/NVGRE/GENVE), which encapsulates complete inner Ethernet packets through VXLAN/NVGRE/GENEVE headers, allowing second layer packets to cross third layer networks, solving the limitations of device MAC entry specifications on network size, VLAN ID quantity on network isolation capability, and the inability of VLAN/VPN technology to meet dynamic network adjustment requirements in traditional second layer networks. Taking VXLAN as an example, a 24 bit VNI identifier can support up to 16777215 logical networks. The large layer 2 network constructed through VXLAN can maintain IP/MAC and other address parameters unchanged during virtual machine migration.

E680 supports SDN (Software Defined Network) implementation through open API interfaces. SDN is an innovative network architecture system that greatly simplifies network management and maintenance by separating the control layer and data forwarding layer of the network.

The E680 series routing switch provides 10 hardware queues (8 unicast queues+1 multicast queue+1 mirrored queue) for each port. Support multi-level scheduling of congestion protection mechanisms such as WDRR (Weighted Deficit Round Robin)/SP (Strict Priority) and TD (Tail Drop)/WRED (Weighted Random Early Detection). And flexible queue scheduling algorithms are used to achieve traffic shaping for queues or ports.
The strategy management of entrance and exit directions provides intelligent bandwidth monitoring function, which can flexibly adjust the granularity of monitoring according to the speed of the port. Supports srTCM (single rate tri color labeling) and trTCM (dual rate tri color labeling).
High quality applications supported by three in one services and guaranteed bandwidth
The E680 series provides high bandwidth for three in one services (IPTV, video surveillance, etc.). The built-in QoS function and flexible queue technology can ensure high-quality services.
Rich multicast protocol set (IGMP snooping/IGMP v1/v2/v3/PIM-SM), supporting 2K multicast groups with 4K logical replication per group. Using CentecOS software, it perfectly supports IPTV services and effectively controls multicast latency.
 
Comprehensive network security strategy
The E680 series supports user level, switch level, and network level security controls.
Basic IPv4/IPv6/MAC ACLs can filter IPv4/IPv6/non IP packets separately, and additional extended IPv4/IPv6 ACLs can simultaneously match layer 2, 3, and 4 information of packets within one rule. The above ACLs can be applied to physical ports, VLANs, port groups, and VLAN groups. Members within a port group or VLAN group share a set of ACL rules, which can save TCAM resources.
ARP detection and IP source protection functions to prevent malicious ARP attacks on the network. Provide CPU traffic protection, storm control function, and optimize CPU load function. Centralized 802.1x authentication prohibits unauthorized users from accessing the network.
Excellent management characteristics
• Supports a variety of management interfaces, including Console, internal and external network ports, and USB ports; Supports SNMP v1/v2/v3, CLI command line, web network management, TELNET and FTP configuration, OAM for easier device management, and supports encryption methods such as SSH 2.0 and SSL for more secure management.
