Product Introduction
CTC21101 is a single-port, highly integrated Ethernet transceiver (PHY) that supports 10/100/1000 Mbps rates. The chip provides physical layer functions for half/full-duplex 10BASE-Te, 100BASE-Tx and 1000BASE-T Ethernet in accordance with the IEEE 802.3 standard, transmitting and receiving Ethernet data over standard CAT.5E UTP cables.
Based on advanced DSP technology and analog front-end (AFE) technology, the chip integrates cross-detection and automatic correction, polarity correction, adaptive equalization, crosstalk cancellation, echo cancellation, timing recovery and error correction to provide powerful 10Mbps, 100Mbps or 1000Mbps data sending and receiving capabilities.
CTC21101 supports MAC and PHY connections via the Thin Gigabit Media Standalone Interface (RGMII) or Serial Gigabit Media Standalone Interface (SGMII) for 1000BASE-T, 100BASE-TX and 10BASE-Te data transfer. The chip supports 3.3V, 2.5V and 1.8V RGMII I/O voltages.
The chip integrates a SerDes interface, which can be configured in SGMII, 1000BASE-X or 100BASE-FX mode. At the same time, it supports the MDI pin extension range protocol and provides X-Range 100M mode ultra-long-distance transmission, which requires the link partner to also support the X-Range 100M 4-pair function, and extends the support of CAT.5e cable transmission up to 400 meters at 100Mbps rate.
